Our primary goal in collecting personal information from you is to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and personalised experience while using our services. This allows us to provide services and features that most likely meet your needs, and to customise our service to make your experience easier and quicker. We use a web analytics tool to analyse site usage, how our users arrive at our site, what they do on the site, what browser they are using and on what operating system etc. However, this analytics data is not tied to personally identifiable information. The Freemason Ltd will make no attempt to track or identify individual users and we do not sell or rent any personally identifiable information about you to any third party.

From 26 May 2012, all member states of the European Union websites are required by law to comply with the EU "Cookie Law" which means that companies must gain the consent of web users before serving them web cookies. A cookie is a very simple text file that gets downloaded onto your PC when you visit a website. They generally contain two bits of information: a site name and a unique user ID. Once the cookie is on your computer, the site "knows" that you have been there before and can then use that knowledge to tailor the experience that you have. The vast majority of commercial websites -- be they major online publishers, banks or ecommerce sites -- will use them.

To fully use our services, you will need to accept the use of cookies. You can see how we collect your consent to use non-essential cookies with the yellow triangle in the bottom left of your browser. If you do not know what cookies are, or how to control or delete them, then we recommend you visit http://www.aboutcookies.org for detailed guidance.   If you do not use this tool, we will assume you are happy to proceed and use our website as designed.

Data Protection and Confidentiality

When you make a purchase, we use state of the art security tools and techniques to ensure that you are protected against fraud. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed, your card details are never seen in plain text and we never store any card details.

When you fill in the payment form and click the submit button, your details are not sent straight away. What actually happens is that a secure link is set up between your browser and our payment processing systems.  An encryption code is requested and received, which then wraps the order and transaction details before leaving your premises.

We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the internet.  The ecommerce software utilised on this site is VISA Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) Certified.  In addition, our payment system partners have achieved the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI) and adhere to the most stringent levels of fraud screening, ensuring that your details remain secure throughout the transation process.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 - United Kingdom).

We may occasionally send you information about the latest web site events or promotional offers. You will always be given the option to decline to receive further mailings.
